Matt Garten

Matt Garten has grown up in the Real Estate and Auction business. Since the age of 3 he could be found on Saturdays at his father’s feet holding up items for sale while the chant rang out. From there Matt moved into setting up sales, displays, listing sales, and taking bids while in high school and college.

In 2000 Matt obtained his auction license and began officially “crying” bids for Greenway’s.  Matt now holds Auction and Real Estate Broker’s licenses in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee.  He specializes in Auctions, and Commercial Real Estate sale and leasing.

Robert “Dizzy” Garten

Robert “Dizzy” Garten was raised in the family real estate and auction business. He started attending and working sales at age 2 and could often be seen holding items or yelling “yep.” He began taking a more active role in the business throughout elementary and high school, setting sales up and taking bids. Dizzy received his Virginia auctioneers license in 2000 after attending Reppert School of Auctioning in Auburn, Indiana.

Since 2000, Dizzy has been listing auctions, calling bids, and performing all aspects of the trade. Shortly after acquiring his Virginia license, Dizzy received a West Virginia auction license and Virginia Real estate license. He is an instrumental part of Greenway’s success and is available to talk about a possibility of listing a home for sale at auction, or listing conventionally at any time. Aside from his real estate and auction career, Dizzy enjoys managing and operating the family farms and spending time with his wife Heidi, and sons Tate and Hank.

Dizzy’s specialties include: Commercial Real Estate, Homes, Farms, Vehicles, Livestock, and Equipment
